Dear Families,
We will be working hard on
reading this year. As we work on
different books, we would love to bring them home to share with you. To help with this, your child will be
bringing home a reading folder from time to time. A reading folder will have a book and a recording
sheet. Your child will need to read the
book to mom, dad, or other older family member.
Once they have read the book you need to sign the form and RETURN THE FORM AND BOOK IN THE FOLDER BACK
TO SCHOOL. I know that the books
that I send home may be hard or easy for your child. That is ok.
If it is easy you can have them work on finding the harder words in the
sentence or writing those words. If it
is too hard, read the book together with you and your child touching each word
as you read. It is ok to use the
pictures for help! Please let me know if
you have any questions.
